We always appreciate it when families, schools, businesses and organizations conduct food drives for our Pantry. Students affiliated with Chabad on Campus, Rohr Center for Jewish Life at Washington University collected an enormous amount of non-perishable food and had some fun doing it.
The food was displayed as a Can Menorah in the Olin Library. The sign next to the Menorah said:
Celebrate the Season of Giving
This Menorah display, constructed out of donated cans of food, will be presented to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry. Every month, the food pantry serves over 7,000 people — of all faiths and backgrounds — who would otherwise go hungry. For more information and to donate visit their website at www.jfcs-stl.org.
