NAP Tax Credits
JFS offers Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits to Missouri state taxpayers.
NAP tax credits allow qualified donors to maximize the impact of a donation to support JFS’s Homemaker In-Home Support Services, which help older adults age safely and with dignity in a residence of their choice.
Tax credits are worth 50% of your gift, in addition to standard state and federal deductions. The higher the income tax bracket, the lower the cost of the gift to you.
NAP credits are available to anyone who pays taxes on business income, including:
- Corporations
- Shareholders in an S-Corporation
- Individuals operating a farm in Missouri
- Individuals operating a sole proprietorship
- Individuals with rental property in Missouri
- Members of a Limited Liability Corporation
- Partners in a partnership
- Express companies
- Financial institutions
- Insurance companies
- Individuals with royalty income
Tax credits are available for gifts of $1,000 or more. As a donor at this level, you will also join JFS’s Tree of Life Society and be invited to our annual recognition event.
JFS will then submit your application to the state of Missouri, and the state will issue a tax credit letter to you for future filing purposes.
You can find the NAP Tax Credit application here.
Please send your donation to JFS and indicate that it is for NAP tax credits. JFS will send you a NAP tax credit application to complete and return to us. JFS will then submit your application to the state of Missouri, and the state will issue a tax credit letter to you for future filing purposes.
